Hi, my name is Sherry McGregor. I am a professional chef, food journalist, author and food blog creator.
My blog is about my love of good cookbooks and delicious food – the things that inspire, empower you to live and help you see the beauty in the everyday. At the same time, the blog is an excuse to experiment, discover new flavors and fill them with successful associations.
Usually, only dishes that I’ve never made before and that worked out for me on my first try make it to the blog. That’s why the recipes are so handy: clear, simple, easy to reproduce in any kitchen and, most importantly, they turn out right away, the first time!
I don’t have a goal to accurately recreate the taste of the dishes in the books. Moreover, it is almost impossible to do so when it comes to past centuries and eras, but to get as close to them as possible seems extremely fascinating to me, so I often take recipes from old cookbooks, foreign cookbooks, and blogs as a basis.
